The Porcelain Veneers Process
The typical dental veneer process is usually spread out across 2-3 appointments
Digital Smile Design or Wax Up
First, we provide you with a digital preview of what your smile could look like with dental veneers. Or, we create a model of your bite and have the lab work up what’s called a “wax up”, which allows you to see the proposed veneers before the permanent version is designed
The “Prep” Visit
Once you’re ready to move forward with your treatment, we schedule a visit to prep your teeth and take a series of scans or impressions. Since an extremely thin layer of enamel is buffed away, we’ll place temporary veneers to reduce sensitivity while your permanent ones are being designed
Final Placement of Your Veneers
Our high-quality porcelain veneers are handcrafted by our master ceramist in our in-office dental lab, from the most attractive, durable materials. Once they’re ready, we have you return to our clinic to remove the temporaries and permanently bond the porcelain veneers into place. The moment you look into the mirror, you’ll have a brand new smile shining back at you
We can adjust your digital smile simulation to compare and contrast various types of cosmetic dentistry treatments. Your digital smile analysis makes it easier to choose between the various types of aesthetic services available so that you can select the one that’s best for your individual needs
Although each of our services — such as veneers— can enhance your teeth, the design planning process is different for each. Your virtual smile design helps you visualize the possibilities before you ever commit to a specific treatment
One of the most challenging aspects of smile design planning is having confidence in what your outcome will look like. Digital smile design (DSD) takes the guesswork out of your cosmetic dentistry and smile makeover treatment
Since there’s no prep work necessary, a few clicks of a button makes it easy to see what porcelain veneers, aligners, or other cosmetic dentistry approaches can offer. Switch between two or three different types of treatments to see which ones look best on your teeth
